Leírás:

The study of the phase diagram of strong interaction is one of the most important subject of particle and nuclear physics. At low density the transition is a cross over, at high density it is expected to be first order. The main purpose of the forthcoming CBM FAIR experiment is the study of the properties of the high density, low temperature  nuclear matter. With the increasing number of precise observation of neutron stars and their collisions their understanding requires accurate determination of the equation of state of the high density strongly interacting matter. We would like to use effective field theory using loop expansion and/or functional renormalization group method to determine it.

During the PhD the candidate should derive the equation of state of the strongly interacting matter and determine the structure of neutron stars
