Description: 

The AdS/CFT duality relates string theory on the d-dimensional anti-de Sitter space to conformal field theories on its boundaries. Since string theory on these backgrounds is integrable, bootstrap methods can be applied. The aim is to calculate physical observables exactly and interpret them both in string theory and in conformal field theory.
